Electricians beware!
Electricians are the latest sector to be targeted by HMRC to encourage them to bring their tax affairs up to date. If you are an electrician and you've not yet told HMRC that you have started working for yourself or you've not disclosed all of your income you have until 15 May 2012 to tell HMRC that you want to take part in this campaign. If you do you may only have to pay tax for a maximum of six tax years, will face a reduced level of penalty and may be able to pay any outstanding tax by instalments.
